As with all our workmanship, our inscriptions and lettering are preformed by skilled craftsmen who are masters of their trade. At the factory Inscriptions are generally sandblast sunk utilizing a comprehensive double process method. This process achieves optimum natural contrast for easy reading and identification without the use of paints, fillers and other artificial contrasting techniques. Through the use of our advanced laser technology and equipment, the most detailed etchings and elaborate designs, can be incorporated into your inscription with a pronounced muti-tone and 3D effect on darker granites. Hand tooled carving is an old world handicraft that creates elaborate ornamental designs with true depth and can be performed on all granites. At the cemetery On-site inscribing is required for inscriptions added to an existing monument. An on-site lookup and evaluation must first be made to determine the lettering process used for the existing inscription. That added inscription will then be made using that exact process so that the new lettering will be virtually indistinguishable and the monument maintains a uniform appearance. Some older inscriptions feature hand cut, V-sunk lettering, or various antiquated processes like outline frosted, Square raised, round raised or rustic, among others. Hand cut lettering has become a rare talent nowadays. Our commissioned staff of skilled craftsmen can precisely duplicate both standard and modified lettering on-site, utilizing all processes with virtually the same precision as in the factory.
